Sheridan | Bergman Wedding
In the middle of August, I had the pleasure of being a part of Jenna Bergman and Joe Sheridan’s special day. Planning a wedding out of state, they put a lot of trust in myself and the vendors that we worked with for what turned out to be a beautiful wedding.
What was most exciting as an event planner, was that this was my first Jewish wedding and boy was it fun! Arguably, watching “The Hora” (when they put the bride and groom on chair and joust them up and down) was the most entertaining part of the evening. I loved Jenna’s taste in decorations, so classy, so simple, so elegant. She stuck with an off white and navy theme which was present in all aspects of her big day. From wedding invitations to wedding party gifts and adorable koozies that they sent their guests home with.
Jenna’s bridal party looked beautiful in navy chiffon dresses, and Joe’s groomsmen looked dashing in their vineyard vines ties. They were both so thoughtful in every aspect of planning their event, thinking of activities for the kids during the reception, getting their ushers matching bow ties, including friends in the ceremony to do readings, and keeping with Jewish tradition and ceremonies.
The vendors that helped to pull the day together were amazing to work with. Danielle Devlin from Bake Aria made some of the most delicious desserts imaginable. Because Jenna and Joe had traveled Europe together, they had a smorgasbord of deserts that represented all of their travels. Julie at Hopskoch Photography took amazing photos as you’ll see here, and Maplehurst Floristwas not only efficient and helpful in setup but did a fantastic job with each of the arrangements. I loved the moss table numbers that were used in the arrangements. Finally, Have Your Cake Catering were some of the most accommodating, professional, and fun caterers to work with and their food was honestly the most delicious food I have ever had at a wedding.
Jenna and Joe were a great couple to work with leading up to the event. Even though Jenna is going through med school at the moment and Joe is a lawyer (you can imagine how insanely busy they both are), they were organized, helpful and very attentive throughout the planning process. What was even more impressive was their very large, very loving families. The day of the wedding I saw nothing but smiles, hugs and laughter. All of the ingredients for a great wedding day.
